I spent the afternoon at the Creekside Park which seemed very popular with Indians. It was full of families playing ball games, having picnics ot BBQs with their folding chairs, rugs (and shishas if an arab family). I was really envious. The warmth of the air and the smell of charcoal from the BBQs took me back to our family holidays camping in France. Now they were fantastic holidays - I have such wonderful memories of them. I'm also so glad I come from a family that may decide to have lunch at 3.30pm of pernod poured over fruit salad because that's what we fancy and not from a family like one we had once next door who would promptly have tea at 5pm - often of beans on toast bought from home.
